Meet the EADA Team


Alice Keane - Drama Teacher


Alice Keane has been teaching multiple forms of drama for seven years. Originally from Cork, Alice moved to Galway to study drama and to get involved with the prominent arts scene. She received a diploma in Speech and Drama in 2014 from the London academy of music and art. She also has obtained a masters in Playwriting and Dramaturgy from NUI Galway. Alice has taught drama all around Ireland and in the United States. She is also a Gaeilgeoir and taught dramaíocht for four summers at Coláiste Cúram Irish College, Cork. Alice specialises in Speech and Drama, Improvisation, Playwriting and Comedy. Outside of teaching, Alice is a playwright, director, voiceover actress and performer. She has worked with Galway theatre companies/institutions such as Galway Theatre Festival, Galway International Arts Festival, Macnas, Danceplayers, Fregoli, Decadent theatre Galway Youth Theatre and Diffused Theatre.

Gillian Keady - Dance Teacher and Choreographer


 

Gillian graduated with an MA in Arts Administration from NUI Galway and has trained with the IDTA to achieve her dance teaching qualifications in Theatre Craft. She has taught at the Power Performance Academy and Phoenix Stage School and has choreographed musicals for school productions in Our Lady's/St Mary's, Coláiste na Coirbe, and Scoil Iognáid aswell as annual productions with An Taibhdearc. During her time at NUI she was Assistant Choreographer for Galway University Musical society for 3 years and was nominated for "Best Choreography" at AIMS for her work on a number of their productions. Gillian also enjoys performing herself and is involved in a number of musical societies throughout the city and county she is looking forward to sharing her love of the Arts and Dance with all at EADA.

Katie Feeney - Vocal Coach


Katie Feeney is a singer trained in both classical and musical theatre styles and is currently studying in the BA Music degree in NUI Galway. Katie is a member of various musical societies such as 9Arch MS, Galway MS, Galway University MS, Twin Productions and the Renmore Pantomime Society. She played the part of ‘Sleeping Beauty’ in the Renmore Pantomime Society’s 40th Anniversary production.

 

She has musically directed various shows with the Galway University Musical Society, going on to win the award for Best Musical Direction as part of the All-Ireland Musical Theatre Intervarsities in 2018. Katie has worked with the Power Performance Academy and the Genevieve Ryan Dance Academy teaching singing to children and is very excited to begin teaching, hearing and creating beautiful music with the EADA team!
