Cloughanover Community Centre

Our Tots classes cater for preschool children aged 3 to 4 years and are 45 mins in duration. Each child will get to experience each discipline and get a fun and enjoyable introduction to the worlds of song, dance and drama.

Ensemble Bumbles (4yrs - 6yrs)

Junior & Senior Infants

Tuesdays

3.15 to 4.15 pm Cloughanover C.C.

Sing! Dance! Act! Perform! (SDAP)

Our Bumbles classes cater for Junior amd Senior Infant children aged 4 to 6 years and are 1 hour in duration. Each child will get to experience each discipline and here are our learning objectives for each child.

Sing!

Children will be enabled to:

  • Learn breathing techniques
  • Improve diction and pitch
  • Study light music theory
  • Practice chorus work

Dance!

Children will be enabled to:

  • Memorize dance moves
  • Complete age appropriate stretches
  • Improve rhythm
  • Strengthen body and spatial awareness

Act!

Children will be enabled to:

  • Gain confidence and express themselves
  • Improve their overall acting skills
  • Learn age appropriate warm ups
  • Learn diction, projection and breath work. 

Perform confidently on stage at EADA's Winter show and end of year musical production. 

 


Ensemble Juniors 7yrs - 9yrs

1st - 3rd Class

Tuesday 4.15pm to 5.15pm

Sing! Dance! Act! Perform! (SDAP)

Our Junior classes cater for 1st to 3rd class children and  are 1 hour in duration. Each child will get to experience each discipline and here are our learning objectives for each child.

 

Sing!

Children will be enabled to:

  • Learn breathing techniques
  • Improve diction and pitch
  • Improve projection
  • Study light music theory
  • Practice chorus work
  • Practice harmonizing 

Dance!

Children will be enabled to:

  • Memorize dance moves
  • Complete age appropriate stretches
  • Strengthen body and spatial awareness
  • Explore different dance techniques
  • Complete rhythm, pacing and timing exercises

Act!

Children will:

  • Practice improvisation
  • Study light acting theory
  • Explore physical theatre
  • Learn lines and improve memory skills
  • Develop a character’s physicality.
  • Understand script structure

Perform confidently on stage at EADA's Winter show and end of year musical production. 


Ensemble Intermediate 10yrs - 12yrs

4th - 6th Class

Tuesday 5.15pm to 6.15pm

Our Intermediate classes cater for 4th to 6th class children and  are 1 hour in duration. Each child will get to experience each discipline and here are our learning objectives for each child.

 


Sing!

Children will be enabled to:

  • Learn breathing techniques
  • Improve diction and pitch
  • Improve projection
  • Study light music theory
  • Practice chorus work
  • Practice harmonizing 
  • 1-2-1 vocal assessment and lesson

Dance!

Children will be enabled to:

  • Memorize dance moves
  • Complete age appropriate stretches
  • Strengthen body and spatial awareness
  • Explore different dance techniques
  • Complete rhythm, pacing and timing exercises

Act!

Children will:

  • Practice improvisation
  • Study light acting theory
  • Explore physical theatre
  • Learn lines and improve memory skills
  • Develop a character’s physicality.
  • Understand script structure
  • Audition for a role in both our Winter and end of year Musical

Perform confidently on stage at EADA's Winter show and end of year musical production. 

 

Ensemble Seniors 13yrs - 17yrs

1st year to 5th year

Tuesday 6.15pm to 7.45pm

Our Senior classes cater for 1st year to 5th year secondary school students and are 1 hour and 30 mins in duration. This class is for our advanced students and priority is given to students who have completed EADA's Junior and Intermediates classes.
